DASHBOARD
Pillow's platform contains three web-based dashboards that are designed for three types of target users: residents, community manager, and region manager. It was a project that I worked from the concept, IA, wireframe to design, user testing. Through all of these efforts, we ended up increasing the conversion rate and the activation rate, exceeding the company goals.

BACKGROUND
When I first joined the company in 2017, we had two business mode, one is the short term rental management for house owners and the other one is the short term platform for apartment residents. With different growth speeds, we saw the resident mode became the leading and trending growth. The company decided to shift focus from house owner based operation team to the apartment resident based on the cooperation with the property owners. More importantly, Pillow got the partnership with Airbnb and got access to their API in October.
PROPOSAL
With business goal shiftted, we knew our existing dashboard and the process of the onboarding flow would not meet the needs of current target users. This meant each role in the business chain, the resident, the community manager, and the property manager, would rely more on the dashboard to manage the program and they need separated features and functionalities.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Apartment residents living in Pillow Communities
Community manager of apartments who need to manage the guests and the residents
Portfolio & regional Managers who use the platform to get insights of the performance in each community
RESIDENTIAL ONBOARDING FLOW REDESIGN

SELF SERVICE ONBOARDING FLOW
After we successfully got the partnership with Airbnb, the design team also productized the onboarding process both for the residents and the small property owners, removing 3 hours of phone calls and a long form pdf submittion. Conversion rates increased 1.5X, and the biggest wins were the hours of labor saved and the improvements to the user experience.
